When I comes to eating at a restaurant I am basically a creature of habit. Maybe I’m just boring or maybe it’s health issues but when I have to eat out I usually go to the same places and eat the same thing. In fact, I’m so consistent that I don’t even have to place my order at one restaurant. I just give my name and they have my order ready for pickup.
It was a great system.
Until last week.....
That’s when they changed the menu and removed my “go to” item.
I love watching people. Seriously, I could do it for hours. Why? Because human beings are truly fascinating, and quite frankly the best comedy show around. (Especially if your mind has a slightly sarcastic bent.) One of the people I’ve been watching over the past few years is an older woman. A few years ago her kids gave her what I’m sure they thought was the best Mother’s Day gift ever---a brand new, top of the line, riding lawn mower. Trust me, this machine cost a pret
I still remember the day when the Holy Spirit asked me during a time of prayer "Are you following God's will for your life because you love Him or are you just following God hoping that you'll get what you want?" The other day I was thinking about how the same thing is true with old offenses.
I’m sure we’ve all encountered someone who has held on to an offen
So, yeah, this is how it’s going to be.
I just can’t seem to help it, but here I am writing another blog about our building project. It’s just that the more we go through this process, the more I’m seeing parallels to my spiritual life that I just can’t wait to share!! So here’s this week’s discovery: I like the end result more than I like the process of getting there. (Surprise, surprise!)
Here’s what’s happening. For those of you who don’t know, this summer my br
