This is what makes a woman beautiful.
These are the things that make a woman beautiful, attractive---the kind of woman everyone wants to be around and emulate.
As it says in 1 Peter 3:3-4:
“What matters is not your outer appearance—the styling of your hair, the jewelry you wear, the cut of your clothes—but your inner disposition. Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in.”
Obviously, I’m not saying that it doesn’t matter how you look or that you shouldn’t do all you can to make your physical appearance as attractive as possible.
Instead, I’m saying that it can’t end there. True beauty needs to extend into our hearts, our attitudes, how we treat people, and interact with the world around us.
The truth is that even the most beautiful woman in the world because ugly and unattractive quickly if she has a mean, nasty personality. Even though men may like looking at her, they won’t actually want to be around her for very long. That’s simply unattractive.
That’s the wisdom the Bible tries to teach us in Proverbs 31:30,
“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”
True beauty, the kind that doesn’t fail or fade, is found in the woman who has a personal relationship with Jesus and is living a Spirit-filled, Spirit-empowered life overflowing with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
This is what makes a woman attractive, what makes her beautiful, and what will want men and women want to be a part of her life.
