Here’s another misconception that held back from fully embracing forgiveness: FEAR that I’d have to accept abuse again. Just because God commands us to forgive does not mean that He wants us to allow people to abuse us, demean us, or diminish our dignity. Instead, God wants us to choose forgiveness with wisdom and boundaries.
